GOALS
Earnestina Moore
I believe leadership is service — not status. I believe in elevating voices, strengthening systems, and ensuring that the leaders we select are prepared, principled, and aligned with our mission. And I believe that the Nominating Committee plays a vital role in shaping the future of the Midwest Region.
I am running for Alumnae Member of the Regional Nominating Committee because I am ready to bring my experience, integrity, and fairness to this important work.
Our region deserves leaders who honor our past, understand our present, and are prepared to build our future. I am MOORE than ready to serve in that capacity.
PLATFORM
I am committed to:
Applying consistent, transparent criteria to every candidate
Maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the process
Ensuring that every Soror is treated with dignity, impartiality, and respect
Protecting the integrity of the leadership pipeline
My professional background as an attorney and Associate General Counsel has prepared me to handle sensitive information, evaluate complex situations, and make decisions rooted in fairness and sound judgment.
2.) Strengthening the Leadership Pipeline Through Discernment and Preparation
A strong region requires strong leaders. I will:
- Encourage emerging leaders to prepare early and intentionally
- Support a culture where leadership development is ongoing, not seasonal
- Use my experience in the Midwest Delta PEARL Cohort and my service across chapter and regional levels to further my understanding of what effective leadership looks like in practice.
3.) Elevating Transparency and Trust in the Nomination Process
Sorors deserve clarity about how leaders are selected. While the committee must maintain confidentiality, we can still strengthen trust by:
- Communicating processes clearly and consistently
- Ensuring that evaluation standards are applied equitably
- Modeling professionalism and accountability at every step
- Upholding the spirit — not just the letter — of our governing documents
- My work in Policies & Procedures, Ritual & Ceremonies, and program leadership have taught me how to balance structure with compassion, and rules with relationship‑buildins.
